Topeak Alien II 26-Function Bicycle Tool

To the point I have to give it up to the Topeak well put together tool.I put together and tuned two mountain bikes with this tool if you need a gadget that you can throw in the backpak or under your seat for field repairs or tune your bike this is it.Only thing i see Topeak making a change is with the body of the tool come on if your going to make a sturdy tool DON'T use plastic only reason i didnt give it 5 stars.

great bicycle tool. easy to carry and easy to use. can fix most problems on the road with no other tools!

Small size makes this a good tool to keep in your pack in case of emergency. Probably need a separate set of tools if you are tuning your bike.

My first bike tool was a simple 8-piece version I picked up at the bike shop. But NOW I have the Topeak Alien II 26-function bicycle tool! Wow! It is compact, great quality and as its title implies has MANY functions. It's almost like having a swiss army knife AND a bike tool all in one.

PROs: compact, fantastic quality materials, well designed, adjustable tension on the tools for easier handling
CONs: need a hex wrench to tighten or adjust your Topeak tools tension

But where other tools are not adjustable at all-- this one is.

Now that I've gotten better at bike adjustments and repairs (purchased a book) this tool is FANTASTIC!

PS: I tend to look for items that are compact as I live in a small space.

Everything you need in a small package. Kinda heavy, but that's because it's sturdy. Glad I bought this, and the carrying case is cool, too!
