A good deal and a good product
Overall: This model of the Cateye Strada does not disappoint. It's a very good beginner's to intermediate bike computer.
Pros: There are several options from time, total distance, trip 1 distance, trip 2 distance, current speed, ave speed etc. All these are very simple to use because the whole thing is just one big button. There is no need to fumble around trying to push one specific spot while you're riding. The wireless makes life that much easier, not having to deal with wires when setting up. There is a clear readout of your speed and one other bit of information. The auto start and stop are very handy.
Cons: placement could be better. I have mine on my stem and if I'm in a sprint, it's not in a convenient place to see how fast I'm currently going. I've seen computers that stick out from the handlebars. This makes them a little more vulnerable, but definitely easier to read while riding. Battery life is average. The wireless components mean you have to replace more batteries. If you're seriously training, then this will not suffice for you. There are better options that tell you a lot more information at once and are a lot more customizable. If you're not training for Le Tour, maybe you wont need the cadence sensor or both how fast you've done each of the last 10 miles.

Operational WARNING
CC-RD300W is my first wireless bicycle computer (purchased 2 for my wife and I). Owned a wired Cateye for 7 years. This is a great little unit that legibly displays essential data at your fingertip:
PRO = Accurate, Compact Size, Very Easy to Install & Program, and Elegant -- no unsightly wire.
CON = When zeroed, ALL data except Odometer, Distance2, and Time are reset.
*Operational WARNING*
The instruction states to press the bottom of the computer face to switch among different modes; however, because there is no positive/solid locking mechanism on the cradle base to hold the computer in place, there is a tendency for the unit to move forward as the bottom is pressed causing the computer to be released from the cradle (okay, so I may have fat fingers).
**My SOLUTION**
Instead of pushing down on the bottom of the computer face, LIFT UP on the Top of the computer. Every lift will positively "click" to display the next mode AND ensure the computer to be properly seated in the cradle; thus, preventing the inadvertent detachment of the unit from the holder -- even on rough terrain!

accurate, easy to use and set up
This computer does an excellent job. I put on over 200 miles a week on my road bike, rough terrain and rain do not phase it. Accurate and easy to read information, the simple click feature allows you to change screens without hassle. It's survived several intense rain storms. Easy to install. 2010-04-27

Awesome Product
Received initally as a gift while getting into road biking. Worked so well that bought 2 more for my wife and I for the mountain bikes. Had concerns witht he larger front forks I may need to modify, but had no issues. Would recommend to friends! 2010-04-26

Easy Install and seems acurate
I installed this computer on my Trek road bike. The installation was simple. So far it seems very accurate and consistent on my rides. My last cycle computer popped off in the middle of a race but this one seems to fit much better and I haven't had a problem with it accidentally falling off. It is easy to toggle through the functions and a breeze to reset between rides. Nothing fancy, but does what I need it to do. 2010-04-22
