Cateye CC-RD300W Strada Wireless Bicycle Computer

It's just the basics, but it performs them perfectly in an affordable wireless model. If you've ever tried to get a wire that was torn in a crash replaced, you know why wireless matters.

The good points: The Cateye CC-RD300W is accurate. It is small.
The bad points: The instructions are a little difficult to follow. You have to zero out the whole thing in order to re-set the clock. You can re-enter the total miles to the nearest mile, but you lose the tenth of a mile. When you click it on and off the bike, you will probably reset your trip odometer. That's annoying. When you ride, it cycles around through all it's functions. But the type is so small, that it's difficult to tell the difference between the screens at a glance. I wish it would stay on the screen that I leave it on. If you wear polarized sunglasses, the surface of the odometer will be difficult to read. The Cateye is okay, but I wish I had gotten a different brand.

I purchased this item using "reward points" not really knowing what to expect. After having it close to a month I can say that it was a solid choice. The display is large and high-contrast enough to be seen from all angles in direct sunlight. Switching between modes is a simple matter of "mashing down" on the unit until an audible/tactile click is hear/felt. It's amazingly compact taking up very little space on your bars or stem. Installation was a snap and seems plenty solid given the light weight of the unit. Mounting the sensor was also no trouble using the included zip ties despite having to reach around the larger diameter of a suspension fork. I am as pleased with this product as I have been with all my purchases from Cateye. Good product, good price.

Just started riding and keeps speed and distance. Just what I needed.

I ordered this item over 2 month ago, and it was to be here a week after ordering. But they told me won't ship until end of February or March. Now March is nearly 1/2 over and still no information about when it will be shipped.
Would never order anything from them again!
