Great trike
I combed through dozens of reviews for trikes for toddlers before deciding to buy this one for my son who just turned 2. It was a hit! Both with my little boy and with me and my husband. It looks great and rides smoothly. It is also quite easy to assemble and I like that the seat can be adjusted so my son will not outgrow it quickly. Some reviews indicated that it is heavy but I think that is a plus because it does not topple over easily. None of the trikes we tried in the stores can compare with this one. It may be a bit pricier but it is well-made and sturdy and definitely worth the price tag.

Nice to look at but cheaply made
We have boy/girl twins and we purchased a red and a pink tricycle in the spring of '09. 2 months went by and our sons pedal cranks cracked away from the wheel which resulted in the pedals just spinning with out turning the wheel. I took the tricycle apart and noticed the cheap struts and sorry welds used to hold the cranks to the wheel. You might think it was a one time flaw but 1 month later the exact thing happened to the pink one. Not a well made tricycle and I would not recommend this tricycle to anyone.

should be better for the price - not the Schwinn I expected
Absolutely the coolest looking tryke we could find. The low center of gravity makes it very stable and pneumatic tires give it a smooth ride. Maybe I had unrealistically high expectations, but quality of materials and construction leaves much to be desired. Not one you can leave outside in dewey weather w/out stuff starting to rust. Even avoiding such conditions, the front wheel squeaks like a cartoon sound effect w/out regular maintenance. Headset cannot be assembled without considerable amounts of slop. The seat has cracked where it attaches - the plastic is just not sufficient at the attachment point. As with a number of other reviewers, one tire was perpetually going flat. After failing to find the leak I finally resorted to adding Stans to the tube (can't imagine many parents would have that option).

Great Trike!
bought this for daughters 2nd bday awesome looking trike. she loves to ring the bell. she is tall for her age and has a hard time reaching the pedals all the way around even with the seat moved forward, buying petal blocks to help her out. low to the ground easy for child to get on and off alone. more detail and better quality then many of the brands we looked at. built to last for years to come.

Rusty Chrome & Flat Tires
The chrome fenders were rusted right out of the box. All tires were flat. I read reviews before buying, so I knew to check the rubber strips between the rims and the tubes. They were in there, but not centered properly over the spoke ends. Didn't seem to be any damage to the tubes though. Probably because they were never inflated or ridden on.

While inflating, I noticed the rear tires did not fit the rims properly. It's as if the tires are too large in diameter for the rims. It's nearly impossible to properly seat the tire beads on the rim because of this. If you're not careful, the tube will pop out from between the tire and the rim when you pump it up.
